THE BRIEF

Setting Sun Woodworks is a small-batch maker of custom, hand-crafted charcuterie boards and fine woodwork based in the heart of British Columbia. The founder needed a brand identity that reflected the warmth, care, and craftsmanship behind every piece. Each board is made from select hardwoods and finished with meticulous attention to detail, so the brand needed to convey both authenticity and artistry. The goal was to create a visual identity that felt modern, approachable, and rooted in the natural landscape that inspires the work.

THE SOLUTION We developed a brand identity system centered around a clean, contemporary logo mark inspired by the setting sun and the fluid grain of hardwood. The design is intentionally simple yet expressive, allowing it to adapt seamlessly across print and digital applications. Alongside the logo, we created a dual-purpose hang tag and business card. The reverse side includes care instructions and a dedicated space to hand-write the wood species used in each piece — a personal touch that reflects the maker’s connection to the craft. The final identity is cohesive, thoughtful, and versatile across social media, packaging, and in-person sales.
